The Insight Center Presents

Grief Skills Training

Going beyond the 5 stages to increase your
confidence in addressing grief with your clients.

Debi Jenkins Frankle, LMFT

Via Zoom

  • Define Loss and Recognize Grief to
    Support Client Healing

We return to or modify important mourning rituals, listening for the guilt and blame of unfinished business, and supporting our clients while we experienceour own grief and signs of burnout.

Certain key factors impact our grieving. We will be discussing how to take these into consideration when working with clients impacted by loss. Anticipatory grief and disenfranchised grieving experiences complicate this process.

This workshop will also teach you to recognize the 7 areas of our clients’ lives that are impacted by grief: Cognitive, Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Social, Family, and Work.

And we will be differentiating between symptoms of grief and trauma, and look at how traumatic grief can complicate grief.  Once you know how grief can specifically show up in your clients, you can begin to name and normalize this experience for them.
